After that first deep clean, every visit follows the same room-by-room checklist. If you have not read about the first visit yet, start with Why Your First Visit Is a Deep Clean Before Recurring Service. This guide walks through what a regular recurring visit covers so you know exactly what to expect — and what to ask for as an extra.
Having a set checklist is what keeps recurring cleaning consistent. Nothing depends on memory or mood. The same things get done, in the same order, every time.
We work top to bottom and back to front in each room, so dust from shelves and fan blades lands before the floors get done, and we never walk across a freshly mopped floor to reach a room we forgot. It sounds fussy. It is also the reason a clean house actually stays clean when the cleaner walks out the door.
The kitchen
The kitchen gets more daily use than any other room, so it gets a lot of attention on every visit:
- Counters cleared of crumbs, wiped and sanitized.
- Sink scrubbed and the faucet shined, including the gunk that collects around the base.
- Stovetop degreased, including around the burners and knobs.
- Outside of the fridge, dishwasher, oven and microwave wiped down, with fingerprints taken off stainless steel.
- Inside of the microwave cleaned.
- Cabinet fronts spot-cleaned where hands and splatter land.
- Backsplash wiped.
- Table and chairs wiped.
- Trash emptied and the can liner replaced if you leave them out.
- Floors vacuumed and mopped.
Inside the fridge, inside the oven and inside cabinets are extras. Dishes can be added too, if you would rather not come home to a full sink.
If you have granite, quartz, marble or butcher block, tell us. Natural stone and wood need gentler products than laminate, and we will note it so every visit uses the right thing on your counters.
The bathrooms
Bathrooms are where you notice a cleaner the most, and where our hard North Texas water causes the most trouble. Every visit includes:
- Toilets cleaned inside and out, including the base and behind the seat hinges.
- Tubs and showers scrubbed to remove soap scum and body oils.
- Shower glass and fixtures cleaned to keep water spots from building up.
- Sinks, counters and faucets cleaned and shined.
- Mirrors cleaned streak-free.
- Cabinet fronts wiped.
- Towels straightened or hung.
- Trash emptied.
- Floors mopped, with extra attention around the toilet.
Bedrooms
Bedrooms are usually lighter work, but dust collects fast here, especially with ceiling fans running from May to October. A fan that spins all day throws dust onto every surface below it, so bedroom dusting matters more in North Texas than people think:
- Surfaces dusted — dressers, nightstands, headboards, shelves and windowsills.
- Beds made, or linens changed if you leave fresh ones out and add it to your visit.
- Mirrors and glass surfaces cleaned.
- Light tidying, like straightening items on surfaces.
- Floors vacuumed, including under the edges of the bed where we can reach.
- Trash emptied.
Living areas and the rest of the house
Living rooms, dining rooms, offices and hallways get a once-over that keeps them looking cared for:
- Surfaces, shelves and decor dusted.
- Couch cushions straightened and throw pillows fluffed.
- Glass on doors, tables and TV stands cleaned of fingerprints and nose prints.
- Light switches, door handles and other high-touch spots wiped.
- Cobwebs knocked down from corners and ceilings.
- Stairs vacuumed and railings dusted.
- Floors vacuumed and mopped throughout.
What is not part of a regular visit
To keep recurring visits a reasonable length, a few jobs are extras rather than part of every clean:
- Inside the oven and inside the fridge.
- Interior windows.
- Baseboards (beyond the first deep clean).
- Inside cabinets.
- Blinds.
- Laundry and changing linens.
- Dishes.
- Walls and doors.
None of these are hard to add. Many clients rotate one into each visit so the house gets its deeper attention over time instead of all at once.
Rooms you want skipped
Some people have a home office they would rather we not touch, a kid's room that is off-limits, or a guest room that never gets used. That is completely fine. Rooms to skip go into your entry notes, so your cleaner knows on every visit without you having to remind them. Skipping a room you never use also gives your cleaner more time for the rooms you do.
Why the checklist matters
A checklist sounds a little boring, but it is the backbone of good recurring service. It keeps every visit consistent, it makes sure the easy-to-forget spots get done, and it gives you a clear picture of what you are paying for. If you want something moved on or off the list, just tell us.
